A Haggis Chilli con Carne made with our Moor Amoor Chipotle Ketchup

Serves: 6 people
Ingredients
  • 1 vegetarian haggis
  • 250 g beef mince
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 2 sticks celery diced
  • 3-4 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 1 red pepper diced
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tin cannellini beans
  • 1 square chocolate
  • 1 glug stout
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 bottle Moor Amoor chipotle ketchup
Method
  1. Sautée onion until translucent then add garlic, carrot & celery and sweat down on a medium heat for 3-5 minutes.

  2. Add the beef mince and cook through.

  3. Next, add the stout followed by the chopped tomatoes, pepper, Moor Amoor chipotle ketchup, beans, spices & chocolate.

  4. Simmer gently for about 30 minutes.

  5. Stir in the cooked haggis, if the chilli is to thick add another glug of stout.

Notes
  • Serve with rice, garlic bread and a dollop of crème fraiche
  • If you like it hot, just add some fresh chillies
